I like the lines. I like the pairs. I know we don’t have the best track record against back ups in recent years but I’m feeling good about this one. To me Giroux is exactly where he should be, especially when you think of past match ups between Giroux and Crosby. I’m sure Hayes and Couturier will see a lot of Crosby and Malkin, which free up that Giroux line. Let’s get two points.

The first game of our home-and-home set 10 days apart...

Let's take it to them. Someone has to step up.

Ducks are taking calls on contract dumps. They have 3.6 mill in Caps space but are expected to move Eaves and Kesler to LTIR. Could be an option if the team wants to move on from some old core guys like JVR or Voracek. Perhaps some big deal in place to grab a guy they like better?

Agree, why they signed Hayes to get better matchups. If Coots and Hayes do their job it is a winnable game.

So if the Flyers want to keep that matchup through the game and I was the Pens coach, I would just play the crap out of the Crosby and Malkin lines. That would limit the ice time for Giroux and Konecny.

For those who are keeping track, Brink only has 3 less points than Caufield this year in the same number of games played

Comes down to would you rather have York and Brink, or Caufield.

Ill take York and Brink.

12 other teams passed as well. (I dont count Hughes and Kaako as they were slam dunks)

yes, they can make in game adjustments but you can't just skate the two of them into the ground. If they do then G, TK and JVR should be able to play even or take advantage. I believe it is TK that could be the difference in that match up, when he is up on his skates he creates a lot of trouble for the opposing team. Plus Sanheim and Myers must play well, assuming Provy and the rest do what they have been doing.

That said, if I'm betting in Vegas I would not bet against Crosby and Malkin. Until the Flyers prove they are on their level, they are not.

His assists are way down from their norms. Goal scoring pace is a bit higher than last year.

Lets hope. They've fallen out of a playoff spot again. This is a big game tonight.

Jake and G..98GP...71PTS....
Malkin and Crosby..57GP..75PTS
You would think the two teams would be in opposite positions in the standings
Unfortunately that Pens team is doing something we are not.

The AHL suspended Brandon Manning five games for use of a racial slur.

his hard work and character made him a staple in our line up. I guess we can scratch his character

Edit: 5 games seems too low for a racial slur

Any news up on what the Raffl injury is?

I know various articles just say UBI but hoping it's not a concussion.
